We don't often read about them and we don't know many people that have REAL miracles in their lives. I can think of three that I know personally. I'd like to share a couple of those stories with you, in case you need some encouragement like I often need. I'm relating these stories second-hand so please forgive me for any discrepancies if you know those involved and have heard these at the source.
First is "Mike". Mike owns an auto shop nearby so he knows cars. His miracle story happened when he was 8 years old and suffered a bad cut-injury to his arm. He was bleeding out and his mom knew she had to get him to the hospital ASAP. The problem was that his dad was at work (or somewhere) and had the only running car. There was a second car - an Austin that his dad bought as a project car, but it didn't run.
So the story goes that his mom rushed him into the Austin, said a prayer, and started the car. It started! She drove him to the hospital where they got him fixed up just in time. They could not return home in the car because it wouldn't run again so his dad ended up towing it back. Years later they were working on the car (it never ran again after that) and when they pulled the engine apart they found the problem! The previous owner had installed a new gasket set but it was the old British-style gaskets - you have to punch out all the ports yourself. That engine didn't have any open gasket ports (it could not possibly get fuel or air to run).
Second is Sean. "The Sean's" (a family of 6) had to travel to Iowa from Idaho for a legal issue. As they pulled into the driveway at their destination - the engine on the old car died, permanently! Once the court case was over, they needed to return to Idaho ASAP but the car was done. Fortunately, a friend traveling the US had left a large van parked in the barn of the same house. After a phone call wherein they were assured they could use the van at their own risk, they prayed and anointed the vehicle and then loaded it up and headed for Idaho. They made it home (1500 miles) without any trouble.
So now they just headed back to Iowa for another matter and decided to purchase the van and drive it back from Idaho. The problem - the van has a bad transmission! The owner admitted that it had the bad transmission before - that is why he left it in Iowa himself!
